Walk for Hope – photos

Below are a few photos from the Union Gospel Mission of Salem’s second annual Walk for Hope (see previous post). The event started at the downtown Men’s Mission and participants walked to Keizer, ending at the UGM’s Simonka Place, a facility for women and children.

The morning started off with a little bit of rain, but it didn’t appear to hinder the turnout. Participation in this year’s event was more than double that of last year. The event aims to increase community awareness of homeless, and all proceeds raised help fund UGM services that assist the hurting, hungry and homeless in Marion and Polk counties.
